Boeing to Research Counter-Rocket Laser Technology
The Boeing Co., Albuquerque, N.M., was awarded a $16,182,854 cost-plus-incentive-fee contract for the research and development efforts for test and integration of a beam control system with a high power solid state laser along with sustainment of support equipment/vehicles in a counter rocket, artillery and mortar scenario. The U.S. Army Space and Missile Defense Command, Huntsville, Ala., is the contracting activity.
