Mentorship Program for Corporate Members

Beginning this fall, AFCEA International will offer a professional-to-professional mentorship program titled The Mentoring Continuum. The initial steps of this membership benefit will take place at a lunch at Maggiano’s Little Italy Restaurant, Tysons II, Vienna, Virginia, on July 10, during a panel discussion about the benefits of mentoring programs to industry . Kay Kapoor, president, AT&T Government Solutions and Renny DiPentima, former president and chief executive officer, SRA International, will lead the discussion.

AT&T has an active mentorship program that includes identifying and coaching talented individuals within the company to develop the next generation of leaders. Panelists will explore how mentoring not only benefits individuals but also their employers. Kapoor and DiPentima will offer tips about how to identify, mentor and retain talented employees.

Details about The Mentoring Continuum and applications to participate in it will be available at the luncheon. AFCEA membership is required to participate in this mentorship program.

The cost to attend the luncheon is $50 for AFCEA members and $60 for nonmembers; there is no charge for government attendees, but registration is required. Sign up for the luncheon is available online. For additional information, contact Dawn Falsinotti at (703) 631-6190.
