Dynamics Research Corporation recently announced it has been awarded a new $6.1 million contract to support the Air Force Medical Service (AFMS). The contract was awarded through the Network Centric Solutions 2 (NETCENTS 2) Enterprise Integration and Service Management (EISM) vehicle. It has a period of performance of four years. Under the terms of the contract, DRC will enhance and manage AFMS's enterprise architecture capabilities as well as integrate, centralize and streamline existing enterprise architecture tools, frameworks, models and artifacts.

Earlier this year, detailed information about the bomb resistance of a new Department of Defense (DoD) building in Virginia was compromised. Reuters broadcast the information worldwide. The news organization did not obtain the document by hacking network systems, but rather accessed the "official use only" document on the Army Corps of Engineers website. This incident is just one example of the thousands of data breaches that occur as a result of internal information leakage rather than an outside attack. In their 2011 Information Security Report, the U.S. Government Accountability Office (GAO) shed light on why internal leaks are so prevalent.

Dynamics Research Corporation, Andover, Massachusetts, recently announced that it has been awarded a four-year contract with the Air Mobility Command (AMC) Fuel Efficiency Office (FEO) Technical and Developmental Program Support Contract valued at nearly $4 million. Under the terms of the contract, DRC will provide technical and developmental program services supporting information technology initiatives to enhance the fuel efficiency of AMC operations and related mission decisions. DRC will work to automate manpower intensive processes, convert mission information into useable and relevant information and support changes in information technology functional requirements.

Booz Allen Hamilton Incorporated, McLean, Virginia; CACI Enterprise Solutions Incorporated, Chantilly; Virginia, Deloitte Consulting, Alexandria, Virginia; Dynamics Research Corporation, Andover, Massachusetts; Science Applications International Corporation, McLean, Virginia; and Tech Team Government Solution Incorporated, Chantilly, Virginia, were awarded a U.S. Air Force contract worth $460 million. This contract will provide for enterprise-level engineering integration and service management support worldwide for Air Force customers. At this time, $15,000 has been obligated to each company.
