|The Lexington-Concord Chapter services Hanscom Air Force Base (AFB) and the surrounding area. The Hanscom community includes the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center located at Hanscom AFB, The MITRE Corporation, MIT Lincoln Laboratory, and the Massachusetts National Guard.
The area is home to world-class colleges and universities, as well as many of the high technology industries that provide electronic, IT, communications and missile systems to the Air Force and other elements of the Department of Defense.
With 800+ members, the Chapter provides forums for information exchange between Government, academia and industry, and facilitates government-industry collaboration through quarterly breakfasts/luncheons, membership socials, golf tournaments, and our model Chapter New Horizons Event. The Chapter provides more than $70,000 annually for scholarships to high school seniors and ROTC cadets, grants to science teachers, and awards in the technical areas promoting science, technology, engineering and mathematics. Other events include an annual Gala Dance, support to Massachusetts MathCounts competition, State of AFLCMC Address Luncheon, Special Newcomers events, ROTC Awards Luncheon, Diversity Career Day, Fellowship Awards Banquet, Spring and Fall Golf Outings, Diversity Golf Outing, an Annual Summer Social, and an Annual Holiday Social.
