|The Aberdeen Chapter of AFCEA continues to support the C5ISR Community at Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland. Key U.S. Army organizations include: Program Executive Offices Intelligence, Electronic Warfare & Sensors (IEW&S) and Command, Control and Communications-Tactical (C3T), Combat Capabilities Development Command/DEVCOM, nd CECOM. Technical leaders from these government organizations actively participate in Chapter events and frequently serve as guest speakers. Our Chapter is predominantly comprised of industry members focused on supporting the Army C5ISR community and mission. Additionally, members from the Department of Defense Army Civilian personnel, Army Active Duty, and local County government round out the Chapter. We focus on monthly technology engagement sessions promoting open dialogue between Industry and the Government within the Army C5ISR Community. Additionally, we feature several small business spotlights during the monthly events and dedicated small business forums to accommodate this community. Monies raised through Chapter activities are largely to support the AFCEA Education Fund (our 501 3c) supporting STEM efforts of the local community to include the awarding of student scholarships and tool kits/grants for teachers. Since 2011, we have provided nearly $400,000 in grants and scholarships focused on developing STEM educators and the future APG community workforce.
