Chapter Focus | |
The Oklahoma City Chapter services Tinker Air Force Base and the surrounding Greater Oklahoma City Area. Tinker AFB consists of the Air Force Sustainment Center along with over 45 other organizations including: Oklahoma City Air Logistics Center, 72d Air Base Wing, 552d Air Control Wing, Navy's Strategic Communications Wing One, DISA Oklahoma City Computing Center, 507th Air Refueling Wing, 38th Cyberspace Engineering Installation Group. The Chapter holds monthly luncheon General Meetings the second Tuesday of each month at the Santa Fe Cattle Co (restaurant) in Midwest City, with designated speakers or interactive discussion panels. The Chapter also holds an annual Technology Exposition, teaming with local and national vendors in conjunction with a Scholarship Golf Tournament. We continue to work with local schools and universities, such as the University of Oklahoma, Oklahoma State University, Rose State College, local high schools, technology centers and the Oklahoma School of Science and Math, and have honored many students and several local teachers at our luncheons with scholarships and grants to further educational pursuits. We will also continue to work to expand our interaction with the local small businesses via a partnership with the Oklahoma Small Business Development Center, Government Contracting Assistance Program, in the hopes that we will encourage more small business membership, sponsorship, and participation in our Chapter. | |
