|The Marianas Chapter in Guam is uniquely positioned to partner in a technical exchange of ideas between U.S. and allied military Commands and activities within the Western Pacific to include Guam and the Northern Marianas Islands, Japan, Korea, Singapore and U.S. based commands with Pacific focus. Within Guam and the Northern Marianas, the Chapter partners with local Government, educational institutions and industry to further information exchange and education in the fields of science, technology, engineering and mathematics. Military commands and government agencies in the Marianas include: Joint Region Marianas; Naval Computer and Telecommunications Station (NCTS) Guam; Submarine Squadron 15; Naval Facilities Engineering Command Marianas; Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron 25; Maritime Expeditionary Security Squadron 7; 36th Wing, Andersen Air Force Base Guam; 36th Communications Squadron; 36th Contingency Response Group; Det. 5, 22nd Space Operations Squadron; Joint Forces Headquarters Guam ; Guam National Guard; U.S. Army Reserve; US Coast Guard Sector Guam; Government of Guam; University of Guam; Guam Community College; and the Government of the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands.
Our events include monthly general membership luncheons with guest speakers from the U.S. Military, Governments of Guam and CNMI, and local information technology and telecommunications industry leaders; and an annual Marianas TechNet Conference each April.
The Chapter also provides assistance to the Departments of Education via grants to local teachers and scholarships to students involved in science, technology, engineering and mathematics.
