Chapter Focus
The mission of the Liberty University Student Chapter is to contribute toward the fulfillment of AFCEA¿s official mission of providing a forum for the ethical exchange of information. Thus, our mission is to promote a forum between Industry, Government, and the University community for information exchange, learning, and networking; to encourage partnership between local technology companies and Liberty for the purpose of growing the Liberty community of students interested in serving the nation through science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM)-oriented programs and benefiting those students with internships, scholarship and networking opportunities, and the opportunity to see demonstrations and hear speaker presentations on subjects of interest; and to provide exciting learning and discussion opportunities with interesting topics relevant to computer science, engineering, government intelligence, and information systems. Our student chapter is a subchapter of the Central Virginia chapter and works closely with the sponsor chapter to support the advancement of STEM education at the college level. Our student chapter also partners with the individual Liberty University colleges and schools to promote STEM activities in local area schools.
