The Roanoke-Blacksburg Chapter of AFCEA,
established in September 2016, brings together
professionals dedicated to advancing the
business
of government. Public servants, elected
officials,
and private sector professionals interested in
understanding and supporting public sector use
of technology to drive greater efficiencies
and
economic opportunity are all encouraged to
join.
AFCEA events provide a forum for local
professionals to interact with industry
leaders, government officials, and military
representatives to discuss emerging
technologies,
innovative applications and other
collaborative
efforts. The Roanoke - Blacksburg chapter is
dedicated to the cross-pollination of ideas
and
expertise. Members can attend conferences for
continuing education and certification
maintenance
as well as attend regular meetings and events
to
share best practices and network. AFCEA also
provides additional benefits and resources
such as
awards and scholarship programs, white papers,
and
webinars. All members receive a free
subscription
to SIGNAL Magazine, a monthly publication
which
provides the timely news and industry insights
related to government and military
communications
technology. |
