Polaris Alpha to Support Army Telecommunications

The U.S. Army has selected Polaris Alpha to provide the Army with advanced telecommunications equipment and services in the Middle East, under an $18 million task vehicle referred to as the Microwave Line of Sight (MLoS) Integration, also known as the Rapid MLoS Network order contract work (RoMaN). The effort will support the Combined Joint Task Force – Operation Inherent Resolve (CJTF–OIR) in Kuwait. Under terms of the contract, Polaris Alpha will provide MLoS capabilities for communication and data services across multiple networks. The company will also maintain and enhance the system’s capabilities to be as effective and reliable as possible, in response to requirements that support operations within service, joint, interagency, and coalition environments. The work will be performed by the company's Global Technical & Operations Support Directorate out of Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland.

"This task order will provide the longest range, highest capacity, rapidly deployable communications systems in contingency environments,” said Steven J. Raymond, director, Field Service Support Division, Polaris Alpha.  RoMaN is changing the deployed communication landscape, particularly in which coalition forces cannot wait for fiber to be installed and are constantly on the move. RoMaN offers a high-bandwidth, low-latency reliable solution at a much lower cost than traditional systems."
