DRS to Provide C4 Capabilities in Iraq, Afghanistan and Kuwait

DRS Technical Services Inc., Herndon, Va., was awarded a $13,100,000 time-and-material contract for the command, control, communications and computer (C4) capabilities throughout the U.S. Central Command Area of Operations. Work will be performed in Afghanistan and Iraq, with an estimated completion date of Dec. 8, 2013. The company also was awarded an $11,375,000 time-and-material contract for the rapid response solutions for command, communications and computer capabilities providing infrastructure and information management systems to the Army. Work will be performed in Rock Island, Ill., Afghanistan and Kuwait, with an estimated completion date of June 8, 2013.  One bid was solicited, with one bid received. The U.S. Army Contracting Command, Rock Island, is the contracting activity for both awards.
