FBI Awards $100 Million Ad Hoc Networking Contract
The FBI recently awarded a $100 million, multi-award indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract for Tactical Mesh/Mobile Ad Hoc Network Systems to support the bureau’s Operational Technology Division. The small business set aside award goes to Persistent Systems LLC, New York, New York; TrellisWare Technologies, San Diego; Brimtek, Ashburn, Virginia, Domo Tactical Communications, Pinellas Park, Florida; Silvus Technologies, Los Angeles, California; Harris Corporation, Lynchburg, Virginia; and General Dynamics, Scottsdale, Arizona.
In a written announcement, Persistent Systems officials say they will provide the MPU5 smart radio, which provides a self-forming, self-healing, and scalable wireless Internet protocol network.
