By Light to Support Ground Troops in Afghanistan

By Light Professional IT Services Incorporated, Arlington, Virginia, was awarded a $45,811,362 cost-plus-fixed-fee contract for the rapid adaptation of mobile device applications to supply time-sensitive information for the troops on the ground and allow real-time transfer for battle-sensitive information from squad to battalion level. Work will be performed in Afghanistan, with an estimated completion date of June 25, 2013. The U.S. Army Contracting Command, Research Triangle Park, North Carolina, is the contracting activity.
