Harris to Supply Radios for Biological Threat Detection System

Harris Corporation has received a $9 million order from the U.S. Army for high-frequency radios for use in the Army's Joint Biological Point Detection System (JBPDS). Harris will provide Falcon II 400-watt AN/PRC-150(C) high frequency systems to JBPDS, which is designed and deployed to detect and identify biological warfare agents. The AN/PRC-150(C) automatically communicates alerts to headquarters over high frequency radio links when the system detects the presence of biological agents.
