TeleCommunication Systems to Provide Satellite Systems Equipment

TeleCommunication Systems Incorporated recently announced that it has received an additional $12 million in funding from the U.S. Army for equipment and maintenance of Secret Internet Protocol Router and Non-secure Internet Protocol Router Access Point (SNAP) Very Small Aperture Terminal Satellite Systems deployed outside the United States. The Army Project Manager for the Warfighter Information Network-Tactical Commercial Satellite Terminal Program is funding these procurements through the Army's $5 billion World-Wide Satellite Systems contract vehicle. The SNAP program includes options for approximately 1,500 terminals and supporting equipment to be deployed in various sizes and configurations, along with up to 30 field support positions.
