Two Firms to Provide Micro-Laser Range Finders

Two firms-DRS Reconnaissance, Surveillance and Target Acquisition Incorporated, Melbourne, Florida, and L-3 Insight Technology Incorporated, Londonderry, New Hampshire-were each recently awarded contracts to provide a minimum of 150 and a maximum of 32,000 small, tactical, optical, rifle-mounted, micro-laser range finders. DRS received approximately $514 million, L-3 nearly $439 million. The U.S. Army Contracting Command, Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland, is the contracting activity.
