Three companies—Harris, Rockwell Collins and General Dynamics—have been awarded task orders for Manpack radios, accessories and related services.

Harris Corp., Rochester, New York (W15P7T-16-D-0002); Rockwell Collins Inc., Cedar Rapids, Iowa (W15P7T-16-D-0003); and General Dynamics C4 Systems Inc., Scottsdale, Arizona (W15P7T-16-D-0004), were awarded a $12,725,724,536 maximum firm-fixed-price, multiple award task order contract for Manpack radios, accessories and related services for Product Manager Handheld, Manpack and Small Form Fit/Project Manager Tactical radios, with an estimated completion date of March 20, 2026. Bids were solicited via the Internet with three received. Funding and work location will be determined with each order.

General Dynamics C4 Systems Inc., Taunton, Massachusetts, was awarded a $34,700,000 firm-fixed-price, multi-year, foreign military sales contract (Taiwan) with options for follow-on logistics support to the improved Mobile Subscriber Equipment System. One bid was solicited with one received. Work will be performed in Taiwan with an estimated completion date of December 28, 2019. Fiscal 2010 other procurement funds in the amount of $34,700,000 were obligated at the time of the award. The Army Contracting Command, Aberdeen, Maryland, is the contracting activity (W91CRB-16-C-5010).

Elements of the 75th Ranger Regiment in Afghanistan are now using the Joint Tactical Radio System (JTRS) Rifleman Radio combined with the GD300 wearable computer. The radio enables intrasquad communications, and the GD300's Tactical Ground Reporting (TIGR) tactical app allows soldiers to share text messages, situation reports and other information.

General Dynamics C4 Systems has won a seven-year contract from NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center for the Space Network Ground Segment Sustainment project. Under the terms of the indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity contract, the company will modernize the ground system and network for NASA's Tracking Data and Relay Satellite constellation. The contract has a total potential value of approximately $642.2 million with options over the period of performance from June 2010 through June 2017.
