AFRL Improving its Enterprise Business System

The Department of Defense (DoD) Information Analysis Center’s (IAC) Cybersecurity Technical Area Task (TAT) awarded $37 million to MacAulay-Brown, Incorporated of Dayton, Ohio. Under the task order, the company will provide cybersecurity and information systems support to the Air Force Research Laboratory's (AFRL's) Enterprise Business System (EBS). MacAulay-Brown will assist AFRL in modernizing, integrating, and streamlining business applications and software across the enterprise at various locations including Edwards Air Force Base, Eglin Air Force Base, Kirtland Air Force Base, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, and facilities in Washington D.C. The EBS program office leverages commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) tools and applications to develop and configure a wide range of business functions for functional area representatives and users of the tools. The goal is to improve integrity, efficiency, and management of critical business information for AFRL’s Science and Technology (S&T) mission. The company's Advanced Technology Group (ATG) will be responsible for strategic planning, high-performance computer science, information technology-enabled modeling, simulation, cybersecurity research, and gap analysis. The company will also conduct system engineering, develop AFRL training materials to streamline tasks, provide technical analysis of single and multi-level IT business applications, and offer insight on how to enhance and improve enterprise-wide collaboration. “This contract expands our long-term relationship with AFRL, while capitalizing on our strengths of providing enterprise-level support for cutting-edge IT modernization initiatives, as well as supporting DoD’s and USAF’s S&T mission,” said Tim Lawrence, Senior Vice President and General Manager of Macaulay-Brown’s ATG. The DoD's IAC program operates as a part of Defense Technical Information Center and provides technical data management and research support for DoD and federal government users. Established in the 1940s, the IAC program serves the DoD Science & Technology (S&T) and acquisition communities to drive innovation and technological developments by enhancing collaboration through integrated scientific and technical information development and dissemination for the DoD and broader S&T community.
