CompTIA's CSA+ Mini-Boot Camp at DCOS

CompTIA has sweetened the pot for participants of an inaugural five-hour mini-boot camp offered next week at the AFCEA Defensive Cyber Operations Symposium (DCOS) in Baltimore.

Participants of the entire mini-boot camp, which showcases CompTIA’s newest security certification, the CompTIA Cybersecurity Analyst (CSA+), will receive a free 30-day CSA+ Practice Lab evaluation license.

License recipients can access web-based labs hosted on live servers designed to imitate real-world configurations on virtual hardware. From the browser, users can implement the network reconnaissance, vulnerability assessment, threat detection and response, architecture and toolsets that are required for security analysts.

Attendees also can participate in a drawing for a free CSA+ exam voucher.

The CSA+ certification includes more analytics with a different focus than other cyber-based certifications and addresses a growing specialization in cybersecurity. The certification can help further recipients’ careers.

As with many CompTIA certifications, the CSA+ is valid for three years after participants pass the appropriate exam.

The mini-boot camp, which is free for active government and military attendees is offered by CompTIA through AFCEA, takes place June 15 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
