Lockheed Martin Receives $758 Million for Hardware on Submarines

Lockheed Martin, Mission Systems and Sensors, Eagan, Minnesota, is being awarded about $758 million for the design, production, installation and support of technical insertion-12 and technical insertion-14 hardware which includes display, workstation, processors and network systems used in mission critical and mission essential host systems currently installed on Navy submarines. The Program Executive Office Submarine Technology Insertion Hardware architecture will provide a modular framework of processors and display computer resources consisting of consoles, card cages, high resolution monitors, large-screen displays, and associated peripherals. The hardware equipment will interface with local area networks and use a combination of commercial and Navy interface standards. The Naval Undersea Warfare Center, Keyport, Washington, is the contracting activity.
