FLIR Systems Receives $27 Million U.S. Navy Contract
FLIR Systems Incorporated, Wilsonville, Oregon, is being awarded a $27 million contract for procurement of electro-optics sensors and required training, provision item order, non-warranty repairs, non-warranty repairs over and above, and data for the Shipboard Protection System Program. The electro-optics sensors systems are Forward Looking Infrared Laser Detecting-Ranging-Tracking Systems. They are rugged and ship-mountable systems that provide surface ships with a day and night, high-resolution, infrared and visible band imaging capability, as well as range finding capability. The U.S. Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division, Crane, Indiana, is the contracting activity.
