I am Pragnay Choksi, representing Proksi Systems, an 8A, WOSB, EDWOSB, HUBZone company based in Woodbridge, Virginia. Proksi System’s expertise lies in the Risk Management Framework, and in 2017, we became part of AFCEA International with the aim of expanding our network and fostering business growth through active participation in the association’s mentor-protégé program

Throughout our journey with AFCEA, I have built meaningful connections with many companies. These connections have evolved into strategic partnerships, proving invaluable as Proksi Systems makes the transition from a subcontractor to a prime contractor. What I truly value within the AFCEA network is the generosity in information sharing.

Located in the Washington, D.C., metro area gives us access to numerous AFCEA chapters and their activities, including AFCEA NOVA IT Days, AFCEA Belvoir luncheons, and the AFCEA DC Breakfast Series. The multitude of monthly choices can be overwhelming, but the opportunities are abundant.

My key advice to fellow members is to become a familiar face and actively participate in AFCEA activities. I have found a fitting niche in AFCEA Belvoir's Small Business  Roundtable, a virtual forum addressing small business challenges. This platform encourages questions and the community generously provides answers. It perfectly aligns with my busy schedule and proves to be a valuable source of information and camaraderie as I transition from a direct report to a corporate visionary. I commend Tom Perry for initiating the program and extend my appreciation to Alex Helwig for continuing its success.

In essence, AFCEA has been a rich source of opportunities for engagement, networking and growth. There is truly something for everyone within AFCEA, making it a vital platform for businesses.
