ATEK Access Technologies' Datakey brand markets COTS, modified COTS and custom-designed rugged portable memory systems. Each system consists of a removable memory device and its mating receptacle. Since the 1980s, Datakey portable memory systems have been the de facto standard for Crypto Ignition Keys (CIKs) used in Type 1 devices. Additionally, the company manufactures a line of ruggedized memory devices that deliver USB flash drive or SD card functionality in a more robust form factor. Datakey products are known for their ruggedness, reliability, long-term product life cycles and customization options. Common uses include data transfer applications and credentials for security, identity, authentication and access control applications in harsh and tactical environments.

Products/Services:
Datakey portable memory devices utilize industry-standard non-volatile memory technology, including EEPROM, NOR flash and NAND flash with various serial interfaces, such as SPI, I2C, SD and USB. Secure memory utilizing mutual authentication, encrypted communications, non-changeable serial numbers, password-protected memory zones and tamper protection capabilities are also offered. Datakey receptacles are available in both board-mount and panel-mount versions and include models tested to MIL-STD-810 and IP67 environmental specifications.
