Axis has more than 1,600 dedicated employees in more than 40 countries around the world, supported by a network of over 65,000 partners across 179 countries. Founded in 1984, Axis is a Sweden-based company listed on NASDAQ OMX Stockholm under the ticker AXIS. Enabling people to create a smarter, safer world Axis is the global leader in network video. We were first to bring the benefits of IP video surveillance to the market by introducing the world's first network camera in 1996. With nearly three decades of network know-how, full commitment to open industry standards and strong partnerships, Axis delivers a complete range of innovative video surveillance and access control solutions, built on an open platform and supported by high quality training and customer service that best meet users' current and future needs. Committed to open standards Built on VAPIX , Axis' open application programming interface, our solutions ensure easy integration and scalability by using open technology standards as well as standard networks and IT equipment. As a founding member of ONVIF, Axis works to ensure system compatibility and interoperability. Enduring results With the world's largest installed base of network cameras, Axis offers unrivalled expertise. Our network video solutions are used worldwide in sectors ranging from retail and transportation to education and city surveillance to protect people and property, to optimize processes, and to increase business efficiency and information access. Whether it is an upgrade or a new installation for 10 cameras or 10,000 Axis makes deployment easy: indoor, outdoor, wired, wireless, even in the most extreme conditions and remote locations. Pioneering partnerships Optimal solutions require expert knowledge of video and IP systems, the end user's industry and, not least, of local installation and support. Axis partners with a comprehensive global network of security and IT specialists: leading technology suppliers, application developers, security consultants, integrators and installers. Together, we create video surveillance solutions that provide users with greater possibilities.

Products/Services:
Axis offers a wide portfolio of products for professional IP video surveillance. Our security cameras, video encoders, accessories and access control products are based on open industry standards. The products integrate easily with Axis' video management software, or with a partner product, to build a complete security or surveillance solution. IP video surveillance: Network cameras Axis' cameras cover a variety of application needs, from robust outdoor cameras for harsh climates, to discreet products for sensitive environments. The cameras provide a number of capabilities - HDTV, wide dynamic range, infrared and Lightfinder to name a few - which ensure clear video even in difficult lighting conditions. Axis' cameras also provide advanced video analytics features, such as motion detection, audio detection and tampering alarm. Migrating to IP: Video encoders with an Axis video encoder solution, you can integrate your existing analog system with products that bring your system up to speed with the latest IP technology. Video encoders give you the immediate network video benefits, as well as a platform to expand and update your infrastructure with network cameras, software and networking/storage devices. Video management software Axis and our partners offer IP surveillance software solutions as a complement to our network cameras and video encoders. There are a number of options whether you have a small, mid-sized, or large enterprise deployment. Physical access control solutions Traditional proprietary systems mean limited options, central control units with often complex and expensive cabling, as well as restricted integration and scalability. Now, with AXIS A1001 Network Door Controller, there's finally an open, easy-to-use and future-flexible alternative for physical access control. AXIS A1001 is a non-proprietary platform for access management. It meets requirements for both small installations and advanced enterprise systems, offering a simpler, smarter, more streamlined alternative - whether you need to install one door or 1,000.

Our mission is to create a smarter, safer world. As the world evolves, and networked technology progresses, concerns are increasingly shifting to network security due to increasing cyber threats. Everything is online. That's why Axis has taken a proactive approach to enterprise cyber security for networks and related devices. We have completed a third party security evaluation to determine where we are, as well as where we need to be. To ensure ongoing compliance to cyber security concerns, Axis has established a roadmap to address compliance and is working with standards organizations to facilitate continuous monitoring of operation and security.
