MONICAP, created in 1988, was one of the first VMS systems worldwide, fact that turned it into a reference in European legislation in the context of fisheries activities monitoring. MONICAP is a monitoring system for the fishing activity inspection that uses GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite System) ((GPS, EGNOS)) for the vessel location and Inmarsat-C and Iridium technology for the satellite communications between ships and a terrestrial control centre. The system is available in several countries, monitoring more than 1.000 vessels daily, being a reference solution worldwide. The knowledge and accumulated experience throughout more than twenty years, make Xsealence a privileged partner in the implementation of VMS and MCS solutions. The capacity provided by the system goes beyond the basic monitoring task, including, for example: Inspection and protection of the fishing activities. Maritime traffic control. Acquisition, reception and transmission of the meteorological data. Fast and precise location of ships in danger.
SeaPatrol is an application used by authorities on board patrol vessels and/or aircraft to create an online connection with the Control Center, offering the possibility to exchange important information between what is happening in the field and what is analyzed in the Control Center scenarios.
