MEMBERSHIP CRITERIA FOR INDUSTRY

REQUIREMENTS
To apply for membership on the AFCEA Homeland Security Committee, you must be a member of industry (i.e., not a government employee or member of the military)

You need not be an AFCEA member to apply, but if elected you would be required to join the Association either on an individual basis ($35 per year) or through a corporate membership.

SELECTION DISCRIMINATORS
In evaluating a candidate’s Committee membership application, emphasis will be placed on involvement (current or past) in one or more of the following:
  • An employee of an organization in the Homeland Security industry (and related fields), with direct involvement in, and knowledge of, federal civilian agencies and/or the Department of Homeland Security.
  • An employee of a company or entity that furnishes Homeland Security products and services to the government, with direct involvement in their integration and knowledge of their core capabilities.
  • An employee of an organization or entity that has oversight responsibilities for activities supporting federal civilian agencies and the Department of Homeland Security, with direct involvement in oversight functions.
