AFCEA Volunteers Present Year-End Academic Awards

Every year AFCEA recognizes outstanding military students with honor and research awards, and AFCEA members travel to universities all over the country to present them in person.

The awards are for students in ROTC, at service academies and at Department of Defense educational institutions. The top junior majoring in command, control, communications, computers and intelligence (C4I) or information technology (IT) in a ROTC unit can be nominated for the AFCEA ROTC Honor Award, and the top graduating senior in each branch nationwide is awarded the Distinguished Performance Award. Commissioning awards are also given to the top graduate in electrical engineering at each of the service academies. Finally, research awards recognize excellent papers related to C4I at DOD educational institutions.
