In this role, Hewitt tirelessly recruits enlisted and commissioned personnel from various military branches to join the local AFCEA chapter. In partnership with AFCEA Los Angeles’ Emerging Leader Chair Brandon Kohler, Hewitt developed and executed a series of Topgolf events to drive recruitment and a mentorship program for emerging leaders, attracting diverse talent from all backgrounds to ensure the Los Angeles Chapter leverages the best and brightest from the community it serves, regardless of circumstance.

Additionally, Hewitt has supported other high-profile events in AFCEA Los Angeles’ philanthropic calendar, including the “Cycling for STEM” event where she oversaw jersey sizing, as well as a variety of other volunteer opportunities where Hewitt jumped in to lend her support and raise the profile of the chapter. Hewitt was recognized in 2022 with AFCEA’s Emerging Leader Award for her contributions to the Los Angeles Chapter.

In her professional career, Hewitt has successfully implemented the Naval Air Systems Command Digital Information Technology Analysis and Cyber’s networking revitalization efforts post pandemic and earthquake.
