Stewart Bauknight advocates for giving back to her community and her country. She is currently the golf chairperson for the AFCEA Lowcountry Chapter, based in North Charleston, South Carolina. She has organized multiple golf tournaments and raised sizeable funds for AFCEA STEM scholarships. Her current strategy is to organize the first Lowcountry AFCEA festival fundraiser to reach a broader audience of supporters.

She is a past general chair of the South Carolina (SC) International Trade Conference, past general chair of the SC International Trade Coalition and is also a member of the SC District Export Council (a federal appointment). In addition, Bauknight is a former newsletter committee member of the Charleston Women in International Trade and the Charleston Defense Contractor’s Association, a former board member of Women in Defense, the Charleston Navy League’s Commissioning Committee and the Maritime Association of South Carolina. She is also the captain of her women’s competitive soccer team.

Bauknight is a program manager for Reed Integration, an economically disadvantaged women-owned small business in Virginia. She was Reed’s first SC employee hired to build a substantial presence in South Carolina. She has grown her office significantly and won new business opportunities. She manages multiple projects in South Carolina for the Naval Information Warfare Center and a large commercial contract on which she functions as the primary subject matter expert. These projects include software selection, implementation and customization, analyses, customized training programs, recruiting and proposal, and risk management plan development.

Additionally, she was twice selected as a regional White House Fellowship candidate for which only 99 candidates were chosen nationwide. Bauknight was selected National Transportation Week’s Young Leader of the Year, twice awarded Charleston Regional Business Journal’s Most Influential Woman and selected as Charleston’s Women in International Trade’s Most Interesting Person.

Bauknight has taught classes on the European Union, international trade and economics, and leadership at The Citadel military college, College of Charleston and Webster University.

Bauknight has a Bachelor of Arts in International Business from the American University in France and a Master of Arts in International Relations from Webster University in Switzerland. She also is a certified Program Management Professional and a South Carolina economic developer. She spent 12 years abroad working for an international organization and has been to almost 70 countries. The United Nations certified her in French and a basic level of Spanish and Arabic.
