AFCEAN of the Month, May 2025
Lindsey Briganti and Erin Determan have set the bar high as the Greater Omaha Chapter’s long-standing social media coordinators. They are a diligent tag team, ensuring the chapter’s social media messaging is innovative and informative. At board meetings, they consistently encourage board members to provide advertisements to be shared via social media. They have taken the chapter’s social media to new heights, making its presence known on four major social media outlets, which has increased chapter followership by no less than 20%. One of their recent, more creative contributions is how they co-developed an eye-catching table tent insert for displaying the chapter’s different social media sites via QR code, which facilitates luncheon attendees partnering with the chapter via the different social media presences on the spot and has led to more interest in chapter sponsorships.
Briganti and Determan can be counted on to help carry the AFCEA message and support the chapter. During the 2024 Department of Defense Intelligence Information System Worldwide Conference in Omaha, despite their requirement to man the TEKsystems booth, they found time to cover the AFCEA Greater Omaha Chapter booth. Both individuals are stalwart supporters of AFCEA and have given their time selflessly on many occasions to help the Greater Omana Chapter shine. From their introduction to the chapter, they’ve found ways to ensure TEKSystems is front and center, helping the chapter meet or exceed its goals. Thanks to Briganti and Determan, TEKSystems has been a key supporter of the chapter’s annual golf tournament for several years.

Briganti and Determan upped their level of golf support by leading the 21st and 22nd Golf Tourneys as co-chairs with superb results. They led all planning activities to include golf course coordination, locking in sponsor-donated gifts, tournament sponsorship, meals and donations to cover golf registration fees for young military members. These two business professionals found time amidst their busy schedules to breathe new life into our single largest annual moneymaker, ensuring they had sufficient volunteers to help execute every aspect of the tournament. It’s no surprise the chapter’s annual tournament has increased in total proceeds by $8,000 (40%) this past year due to their dedication and leadership. The Greater Omaha Chapter can breathe a sigh of relief as Briganti and Determan have already agreed to chair the 23rd Golf Tourney in 2025, which is a testament to how driven they are to see the chapter succeed.
As business professionals, they each have 25 years of experience leading TEKSystems. Briganti is a national account director, supporting TEKSystems’ government services segment, while Erin leads the company’s Nebraska/South Dakota core applications division. Both have exemplary records at TEKSystems, garnering a host of accolades, including the MVP award, account lead of the year, team of the year, account manager of the year and recipient of the TEKSystems 2024 Regional Foundation Award. They’ve been top contributors of tech talent to Offutt Air Force Base for more than 20 years, ensuring the United States has the skill sets to support a four-star command and one of the U.S. Air Force’s largest wings.
Their selfless acts go beyond the chapter where they support multiple Omaha charities, including the Ronald McDonald House, Habitat for Humanity, Completely KIDS, Special Spaces and the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network. Due to Briganti and Determan’s undying support, the Greater Omaha Chapter has benefited significantly; therefore, without exception, they deserve to be recognized as AFCEANs of the Month!
