AFCEAN of the Month, October 2022
Evie Brewer has been an incredible leader in the chapter over the past year and is now taking on the role of vice president of the chapter’s Emerging Leaders.
Brewer has supported the U.S. Department of Defense for over seven years. She is currently the enterprise account manager supporting Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) at Hewlett-Packard Enterprise, where she works with a network of partners to provide cutting-edge solutions to her customers.
Brewer joined the Emerging Leaders last year and has been instrumental in the chapter’s success. Not only has she helped recruit new members, but she also planned the chapter’s first Women’s Panel. Brewer had an idea of hosting an open Q&A forum with the women in the chapter; then she turned her idea into a reality. She invited Caroline Kuharske, acting chief data officer at DISA, to be the first guest. Kuharske spoke to the chapter about her early career, her challenges of being a woman in a male-dominated industry and how she got to where she is today. It was an incredibly successful event, and
Brewer plans to organize more of these type of forums in the upcoming year.
