CSRA to Digitize Veteran Records

The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) has awarded CSRA Incorporated a $158 million contract to digitize over 7 million health records of veterans. CSRA subsidiary, SRA International LLC, will perform the work at the VA’s Records Management Center in St. Louis under a 36-month period of performance. CSRA currently supports the digitization of veteran files through its Intake Conversion Mail Handling Services contract. By digitizing veterans’ files, CSRA is helping the VA transform from a paper-based process to an electronic claims system, saving physical space, money, and processing time, resulting in a more efficient way of processing veterans’ records, the company said.
