L-3 Communication Contract With Air Force Will Provide for Optical Sensors and Turrets

L-3 Communications EO/IR Inc., Santa Rosa, California, has been awarded a $90,000,000 indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract for electro-optical and infrared sensors and features. The contract provides an ordering avenue for MX series turrets and features. Work will be performed in Burlington, Canada, and is expected to be complete by December 31, 2022, with the option to extend through December 31, 2027. The award was a sole-source acquisition. Funding will be obligated on each individual delivery order, and fiscal 2018 operations and maintenance funds in the amount of $10,140 are being obligated on the first order. Air Force Life Cycle Management Center, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, is the contracting activity (FA8620-18-D-4016).
