Peraton was awarded $578 million to support and maintain Transportation Security Administration (TSA)-owned checkpoint security screening equipment at TSA checkpoints in all U.S. airports for five years. In addition, the company will also provide overall program management for TSA's national security mission for the Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) program. The support includes reporting metrics and developing a user interface that enables real-time information sharing, aggregation, analysis, and reporting; performing data analytics to drive continual improvement and increased availability of checkpoint security screening equipment; and managing a standalone TSA accredited network infrastructure required to support the program, among other things. “Our work will help TSA protect our country,” said Peraton CEO Stu Shea. “We’re proud to have once again been called upon to assist the Department of Homeland Security in its mission of safeguarding the nation, and we eagerly accept the high standards and accountability required by TSA.”
