Harris Receives Space Situational Awareness Contract Modification

Harris Corp., Colorado Springs, Colorado, has been awarded a $9,202,986 modification (P00653) to previously awarded System Engineering and Sustainment Integrator (SENSOR) contract F19628-02-C-0010 for system sustainment of the FPS-85 Phased Array Eglin radar which provides space situational awareness data for tracking space objects. Contractor will provide weapon system management and engineering, field service team, radome maintenance, and requirements definition, analysis and modeling. Work will be performed at Eglin Air Force Base, Florida; and Peterson Air Force Base, Colorado, and is expected to be complete by March 30, 2017. Fiscal 2016 operation and maintenance funds in the amount of $7,440,763 are being obligated at the time of award. The Space and Missile Systems Center, Peterson Air Force Base, Colorado, is the contracting activity.
