U.S. Army Awards Support Contract for Vehicle Inspection Systems in Afghanistan

American Science and Engineering Incorporated, Billerica, Massachusetts, was awarded a firm-fixed-price indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract valued at about $32 million. The award will provide for the modification of an existing contract to provide on-site maintenance and sustainment on Non-Intrusive Vehicle Inspection Systems Z backscatter vans. Work will be performed in Afghanistan, Iraq, and Billerica, Massachusetts, with an estimated completion date of June 27, 2012. The U.S. Army Contracting Command, Warren, Michigan, is the contracting activity.
