Northrop Awarded Research and Development Funds for Hawkeye Technologies

Northrop Grumman Systems Corp., Melbourne, Florida, is being awarded a $146,690,370 cost-plus-incentive-fee contract for the design, development, fabrication, assembly, integration, furnishing, test and evaluation support, and documentation for the following systems in support of the E-2D Advanced Hawkeye aircraft: Accelerated Mid-Term Interoperability Improvement Program; Secure Internet Protocol Router Chat; Multifunctional Information Distribution System Joint Tactical Radio System; and Cooperative Engagement Capability. Work will be performed in Melbourne, Florida (84.58 percent); Ronkonkoma, New York (4.8 percent); Bethpage, New York (2.5 percent); St. Augustine, Florida (1.85 percent); Boulder, Colorado (1.79 percent); Norfolk, Virginia (0.96 percent); Fort Wayne, Indiana (0.69 percent); Woodland Hills, California (0.64 percent); Owego, New York (0.4 percent); Torrance, California (0.19 percent); Carlsbad, California (0.1 percent); and various other locations within the United States (1.5 percent). Work is expected to be completed in June 2019. Fiscal 2015 research, development, test and evaluation (Navy) funds in the amount of $27,700,000 will be obligated at time of award, none of which will expire at the end of the current fiscal year.
