Lockheed Martin Awarded $155 Million for Sonar System Improvement, Integration
Lockheed Martin Corporation Maritime Systems and Sensors, Manassas, Virginia, was recently awarded a $155 million contract modification for the design and support of the manufacture of hardware for the Acoustic Rapid Commercial-off-the-shelf Insertion (A-RCI) system improvement and integration program. A-RCI is a sonar system that integrates and improves towed array, hull array, sphere array, and other ship sensor processing through rapid insertion of commercial-off-the-shelf-based hardware and software. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Washington Navy Yard, D.C., is the contracting activity.
