Logos to Provide Aerostat Surveillance System
Logos Technologies Incorporated, Arlington, Virginia, is being awarded a $48 million contract for a Phase III Small Business Innovation Research project entitled Wide Area Video Image Storage Techniques. This contract provides for the design development, production, fielding, operation, and sustainment of a reliable wide area persistent surveillance system (Kestrel) for deployment on aerostats and airships operating at altitudes between 1,000 and 5,000 feet for the U.S. Army. The contractor will provide one engineering development unit and 13 production copies along with one prototype Kestrel Lite, as well as deployed operations and maintenance support for 12 months. The U.S. Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Lakehurst, New Jersey, is the contracting activity.
