U.S. Marine Corps Procures Solar Photovoltaic System

Stronghold Engineering Incorporated, Riverside, California, is being awarded a more than $8 million task order under a previously awarded multiple award contract for construction of a solar photovoltaic system at Marine Corps Base, Camp Pendleton. The work to be performed provides for design, engineering, procurement and construction of a solar photovoltaic system. The new solar photovoltaic system shall occupy four to six acres within Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton Installation Restoration Site Seven (Box Canyon). The solar photovoltaic system shall contain all balance of system components, electrical utilities, communication utilities, monitoring and metering, utility equipment building and associated equipments and devices for a complete and usable system, tested, accepted and beneficial to Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton. The Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Southwest, San Diego, California, is the contracting activity.
