U.S. Navy Modifies FLIR Systems Contract
FLIR Systems Incorporated, North Billerica, Massachusetts, is being awarded a $7,057,070 contract modification that increases the contract ceiling to $11,500,000 for the test, teardown, and evaluation, repair, and data for the Maritime Forward Looking Infrared System, Combatant Craft Forward Looking Infrared System, Shipboard Infrared Visual Sensor System, and the SeaFLIR system. The systems provide maritime crafts with all-weather, day/night, high-resolution, stabilized FLIR (forward looking infrared) thermal imaging capability to augment existing optical and radar sensors. Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division, Crane, Indiana, is the contracting activity.
