Event Speaker: Secure the Enterprise with Netflow

Greg Johnson, Consulting Solutions Architect with Cisco Systems

As organizations look to safeguard their networks and cyber vulnerabilities, multiple tools are available to protect and monitor. One such capability, called Netflow, is free and can provide a very dependable source of information relevant to network traffic and flows. Using the network as an entire sensor, Netflow, properly analyzed, goes a long way towards the goal of securing the enterprise, providing insight and helping to eliminate costly breaches and malware execution. In this session, we will discuss the various ways Netflow can be implemented, the pros and cons of each, and show examples of how sophisticated analysis tools can help to provide security and valuable information to security and CI entities.

Gregory Johnson is a Consulting Solutions Architect with Cisco Systems out of the U.S. Federal area, and has been with Cisco for over 18 years. His focus for the last 15+ years has been on Service Provider and Enterprise Routing & Switching solutions; with a particular emphasis on MPLS, encryption, and Carrier Ethernet.
