BAE Systems Receives Surveillance Contract with U.S. Army

BAE Systems has been awarded a $14.5 million U.S. Army contract to develop surveillance sensors under the Army's Airborne Wide Area Persistent Surveillance Sensor program. The system will use dual-band visible and infrared imaging technology to collect high-resolution imagery from large areas of interest, enabling military aircraft to conduct 24-hour surveillance.
