Boeing Awarded $153 Million U.S. Navy Contract for Countermine System

The Boeing Company will design and develop the countermine system (CMS) for the U.S. Naval Surface Warfare Center in a $153 million U.S. Navy contract. The CMS, part of the Navy's efforts to field a comprehensive assault breaching system, features a unique warhead that uses the combat-proven joint direct attack munition guidance set to accurately position the weapon above the mines.
