Boeing to Provide P-8A Training Systems

The Boeing Co., Seattle, Washington, is being awarded a $178,057,663 modification to a previously awarded fixed-price-incentive-firm contract (N00019-12-C-0112) for the update and modification of P-8A multi-mission maritime aircraft training systems, including 16 operational flight trainers; 13 weapons tactics trainers; and four part task trainers, as well as a training systems support center and electronic classrooms located at the Naval Air Station Jacksonville, Florida; Naval Air Station Whidbey Island, Washington; Dallas, Texas; and St. Louis, Missouri. Work will be performed in St. Louis, Missouri (30 percent); Jacksonville, Florida (30 percent); Whidbey Island, Washington (30 percent); and Dallas, Texas (10 percent), and is expected to be completed in December 2018. Fiscal 2015 aircraft procurement (Navy) funds in the amount of $178,057,663 will be obligated at time of award, none of which will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Air Warfare Center Training Systems Division, Orlando, Florida, is the contracting activity.
