Boeing to Retrofit Globemaster IIIs With Countermeasures System
The Boeing Company, Long Beach, California, was awarded a $15 million contract modification to the C-17 Globemaster III sustainment partnership contract to retrofit aircraft with large aircraft infrared countermeasures, a mission critical laser-based countermeasures system required to defend mobility air forces aircraft against lethal heat-seeking missiles. Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, is the contracting activity.
