AFRL Delving into Sensor Technology Evaluations Research

The Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) signed cost-plus-fixed-fee, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contracts with three companies to provide effective sensor technology evaluations and related methodology research and development. The companies include: Defense Research Associates Inc. of Dayton, Ohio, which was awarded a $45,557,024; Design Knowledge Co. of Fairborn, Ohio, which was awarded a $45,557,024; and MacAulay-Brown, Inc., Dayton, Ohio, which was awarded a $45,557,024. Under the contracts, the companies will conduct research into advanced assessment and evaluation methodologies to improve more effective and efficient analyses of advanced sensor technologies. Work will be performed at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio; and Dayton, Ohio, and is expected to be complete by June 16, 2025. Fiscal year 2018 research and development funds in the amount of $215,000 are being obligated on the first task order at the time of award. Air Force Research Laboratory, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, is the contracting activity.
