Army's PEO C3T Selects REDCOM Labs for Tactical Communications Software
The U.S. Army’s Program Executive Office Command, Control, Communications-Tactical (PEO C3T) awarded a $31.9 million contract to Victor, New York-based REDCOM Laboratories, Inc.* REDCOM is a woman-owned small business that specializes in the design and manufacture of advanced tactical and strategic communications solutions in a small form factor that provide interoperability, flexibility, and ease of use. Under the five-year contract, the company will deliver tactical communications software for multiple Army programs as part of the PEO C3T’s network modernization effort.
The contract award includes licenses for REDCOM’s Sigma software-based call and session controller—and associated support—which will be used by Project Manager Tactical Networks efforts, including the Mission Network. The company also is part of the Capability Set 23 modernization effort that provides on-the-move network connectivity to armored brigade combat teams (ABCTs). The Sigma software will be part of the Tactical Network Transport (TNT) On-The-Move prototype integrated into ABCTs and on-the-move configurations integrated on a variety of tactical vehicles, the company reported. In addition, the software will be included in the Army’s fielded Tactical Network Transport At-The-Halt equipment refresh that will be received by four infantry brigade combat teams starting next year.
Also, as part of the Product Manager Network Modernization, REDCOM Sigma will support and modernize Enroute Mission Command, Commercial Coalition Equipment, and Disaster Incident Response Emergency Communications Terminal equipment. Finally, as part of Capability Set 21 and following the Expeditionary Signal Battalion (ESBs) Enhanced pilot program, the software will be included in the equipment package to the service’s ESBs, the company said.
