ESN Aiding Naval Combat Systems
Engineering Services Network, Inc. (ESN), Woodbridge, Virginia, was awarded a $39.5 million contract from the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Port Hueneme, California Division (NSWC PHD), of the Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA). ESN, as the incumbent Combat Systems Operational Sequencing System (CSOSS) prime contractor, will support NAVSEA's Port Hueneme, San Diego, CA and Norfolk, VA, locations in the development, modification, validation and delivery of CSOSS for all shipboard sensors, command, control, communications, computers, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (C4ISR) and weapon systems. The five (5) year contract, which begins immediately, includes a base year plus four one-year options. Under the contract, ESN will provide analyses, technical and programmatic support, information coordination, product development, and maintenance of CSOSS for all Aegis and non-Aegis ship classes, U.S. Coast Guard WMSL and WPC cutters, and applicable shore facilities (AEGIS Ashore, USCG). The support includes Training Operational Sequencing System (TOSS) and Combat System Interface Diagram (CSID) development and integration, and may also include Crew Orientation training. “We’re honored to have been awarded this contract and to continue to work with the Naval Surface Warfare Center,” said ESN President and CEO Raymond Lopez. “We have been a steadfast partner with NSWC PHD Code A34, with a track record of implementing cost effective efficiencies through innovation and LEAN methodologies. Our team will continue to assist NSWC PHD providing quality products to our Warfighters.”
