Interior Department Turns to CenturyLink for Secure Network Services and IT Modernization

The U.S. Department of the Interior (DOI) selected Monroe, Louisiana-based CenturyLink, Inc. to provide secure network services and IT modernization solutions through the the General Services Administration’s Enterprise Infrastructure Solutions program. Under the task order, the company will help manage core network services and design, engineer, build, secure, operate and maintain DOI’s enterprise network from end to end. This includes providing software-defined wide area network, virtual private network, private line and ethernet transport services. CenturyLink also will perform managed security services, such as managed trusted internet protocol services and zero-trust networking. The company will prove secure cloud connectivity and WiFi.

The contract has a maximum value of $1.6 billion, with 11 one-year renewal options through 2032.
